Nice tour. Nini, our tour guide, was really nice and knowledgeable. However, US$360 for this tour is way over-prices; it's just not worth it. I hiked to the tidal pool myself with Nini on facetime call to guide me. Other than that hike, we didn't do anything else on the island; didn't visit any family to see local living.

The tour was guided by an enthusiastic and likable lady who gave us good information, sang to us and helped us learn some key phrases. It was a lovely drive with a tour of the attractions, including a drive through town, a lookout point and nice beach. We thought it was a good value compared to the cruise ship tours. A slight downgrade because a couple of guests were allowed to get on the wrong tour and we had to wait awhile for another vehicle to pick them up. Make sure you’re on the right tour.

After some chaos on the docks trying to find our tour, we finally joined our guide to start the tour. Our initial concerns about the rickety-looking old buses ability to make it up and down the steep, winding roads were soon allayed by the skill of the driver and we began to relax and enjoy the stunning views over Pago Pago and the national park. Our guide, JuJu, was entertaining and knowledgeable, and we learnt lots about the Samoan people and culture, traditional medicine, and life in the town and villages. An enjoyable tour with several stops, including a delicious traditional lunch. Despite some complaints about the hard seats and lack of air con from some passengers, we enjoyed the quaint local bus ride!

Great tour, great guide. Who knew you could husk a coconut with your teeth.

National Park Plus Tour

We had a wonderful experience on the National Park Plus Tour with Best Tours American Samoa, thanks in large part to our guide, Nini. She was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and generous with both her time and knowledge, sharing fascinating insights into Samoan culture, history, and daily life. The itinerary provided an excellent blend of historic and natural attractions, offering a well-rounded introduction to American Samoa. We enjoyed exploring important cultural sites while also taking in the island's remarkable scenery and natural beauty. The pace was relaxed, and we never felt rushed. What truly made the day memorable was Nini's warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care for her guests. We learned a great deal, laughed often, and had a lot of fun. If you're visiting Pago Pago, we highly recommend Best Tours American Samoa and especially Nini for an engaging and unforgettable experience.

Our guide was nice and informative about the history of the island. We enjoyed the scenic view points!
