It can be helpful to have clear expectations: this is a deep backcountry shelter. Extremely rustic, very rugged, very challenging. There is no established trail up the mountain to the cabin and it can be unsafe if you are not in excellent shape and ready to climb a steep slope carrying all your belongings. You will park on the road and walk into a jungle. And you must bring everything you need, including all food. Truly off grid: no refrigeration, no Wi-Fi or cell service, minimal electricity available from a small battery pack. A military cot, mosquito net, and some drinking water are provided. Views on good weather days are beautiful. Heavy rains can make it very difficult or even dangerous to ascend or descend.
