Step back in time on this 4.8 km (3 mi) return trail connecting two of American Samoa’s most historic WWII sites – the Blunts Point Gun Battery and the Aerial Tramway Site. This 2-hour walk winds through lush rainforest alive with native bird calls, while revealing military relics built to defend the island from Japanese invasion. Along the way, you’ll spot cannon placements, foxholes, old cable rail, and the ruins of barracks and offices. The final climb includes rope-assisted steps and steep ladders, making for a fun, challenging finish.
