Description
This off-the-beaten-track waterfall hike begins with an unexpected walk through a quarry, but the reward is a lush jungle cascade with a fascinating WWII twist. The first waterfall is reached by following faint grassy trails and the sound of rushing water. For more adventure, climb to the second tier, where a concrete staircase left from WWII leads you to a deeper pool – perfect for a swim or (for the bold) a cliff jump. It’s an unmarked local favourite, so bring your sense of direction and a spirit of exploration.
Highlights
- Visit a hidden waterfall accessed through a working quarry
- Discover a WWII-era staircase tucked in the forest
- Swim in the upper pool or try cliff jumping (at your own risk!)
