Description
Situated just off the coast of Ta'ū Village, Big Momma is an awe-inspiring Porites coral head and one of the largest known single coral structures in the world. Towering over 20 ft (6 m) in height and stretching 134 ft (41 m) in circumference, this living fossil has been growing for more than 500 years. Snorkellers can admire its massive crown from the surface, while scuba divers can fully explore its incredible scale beneath the waves.
